On Wednesday, Facebook revealed that it will start testing commercials that would show up inside its Oculus virtual reality headsets.

The firm initially announced in May that it would start Facebook displaying advertisements within the Oculus mobile app, but the Wednesday statement marks the first time the social network company claims it will display advertisements within its VR headsets.

The shooter game Blaston from Resolution Games will be where the Oculus headset advertisements first appear. Over the upcoming weeks, ads will also start to appear in two additional Oculus apps, according to Facebook.

Oculus headset commercials might be a big move for Facebook, which gets more than 97% of its income from adverts overall. Users currently see the majority of these advertisements on the company’s Facebook and Instagram social networks.

Facebook added that these advertisements might offer new avenues for software developers to make money.
Users will have access to the same options as on Facebook and the ads will adhere to Facebook’s advertising guidelines. This includes having the option to block certain adverts or ads from certain advertisers. Users can receive more information about the advertisements they are shown by selecting “Why am I seeing this ad?”

Facebook said the ads won’t be based on any personally identifiable information.
