Her father is Cooch Behar Zilla Parishad’s office superintendent named Anil Roy. Besides them, her mother is a theater artist and is named Mukti Roy. She has no sisters. His younger brother’s name is Mukhar Roy. Her father was a role model and inspiration for her.

Education

Mouni Roy got her early primary education from Kendriya Vidyala school situated in Baburhat Cooch Behar. After that, she gained admission to the University of Delhi and did graduation in English Honors from Miranda House. Her parents wish her to be a journalist, so for their wish, she got enrolled in Jamia Millia Islamia University and did a course in Mass Communication. However, she left the study due to her passion for acting, to pursue her career in acting.

After she left her studies, she started acting in the year 2007. Her acting debut was in the Tv serial” Kyun ki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” in which she played the role of “Krishna Tulsi”. Then she participated in a reality dance show named “Zara Nachke Dikha”. Then she acted in many drama serials which earned her much fame. However, her role as Naagin grabbed a massive appreciation from the audience. She also appeared in comedy shows. She did her acting debut in the Punjabi film industry from the film “Hero Hitler in Love” in the year 2011. In the box cricket league, she was with her friend Arjun supporting his team Mumbai Tigers in 2016. She also hosted many dance shows. She made her acting debut in the Bollywood industry from the movie “Gold” in the year 2018.
